It takes a village to a raise a child. 

 

The perseverance of segregation in the Kansas City School District is not anyONE’s fault, but a structural shortcoming preserved by our existing political and cultural institutions. 

 

The academic and financial struggles of keeping the local school system afloat has reinforced a multi-generational pattern of low education rates, low employability, and high poverty. Without the resources and skills to advantage a community economically and socially, how can one being guided for success? Read more here
